Sterkist is in Rivendell, at The Spire of Meeting [29.9S, 4.7W] This set of items should not be confused with the second and third sets of items (see below). Hogni's Spiked Helmet and Steam-scorched Carapaces can only be obtained by a character with this quest and from appropriate mobs. Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue 'I have found someone that can make you some equipment of which Grimbeorn would be proud, but he requires some very unusual components. It will not be easy to obtain these things, but he insists they are necessary! 'You will need to place yourself in peril to find the pieces we will need. First you should gather tough caparaces of the nerbeglir which skitter among the pools of Malenhad in Angmar. We will also need the spiked helmet of the Dourhand captain Hogni Cleave-shank, who at last report was commanding the Dourhands at the fortress of Gabilazan in the Misty Mountains. Our family has never been over-fond of dwarves, but this dwarf in particular is a vile sort and quire dangerous. 'Return with these items, and I will see what else is required of us.' Background Sterkist as agreed to help you fashion a piece of equipment of which Grimbeorn would approve. Objective 1 Collect Steam-scorched Carapaces (0/12) Collect Hogni's Spiked Helmet Nerbeglir can be found in the Eastern Malenhad in Angmar. Hogni Cleave-shank can be found at Gabilazan in the Misty Mountains. Sterkist says he'll need you to bring him norboglir-caparaces and Hogni Cleave-shank's spiked helmet. Objective 2 Return the items to Sterkist in Rivendell Sterkist is at the Spire of Meeting, in Rivendell. You have collected the first set of difficult-to-obtain components that your brother insists is required for the creation of a worthy piece of equipment. Sterkist: 'You found those items? Good, good, good. You have become quite an adventurer! 'The next items my friend says we need are corroded Neekerbreeker-horns from the nerbeglir of the Eastern Malenhad in Angmar and grisly bat-talons, which can be found on the bats of Angmar and other terrible places.' Objective 3 Collect Corroded Neekerbreeker Horns (0/20) Collect Grisly Bat Talons (0/20) Sterkist is at the Spire of Meeting, in Rivendell. Sterkist has asked you to return with twenty corroded Neekerbreeker-horns and twenty grisly bat-talons. Objective 4 Return the items to Sterkist in Rivendell Sterkist is at the Spire of Meeting, in Rivendell. You have collected the second set of difficult-to-obtain components that your brother insists is required for the creation of a worthy piece of equipment. Sterkist: 'I thank you for this next set of components, my <sibling>! I am told these will be of use in fashioning you a good piece of equipment. 'Two components remain, and they sound very difficult to obtain. You must collect the putrid slime of Helchgam, the terror that dwells beneath Carn Dûm in Angmar. I also need a Badge of Command from the uruk Lagmâs in Urugarth. 'When you have acquired these items, bring them here to me. I am glad I do not need to get them!' Objective 5 Find Badge of Command and Putrid Slime of Helchgam and bring them to Sterkist in Rivendell Helchgam can be found beneath the evil city of Carn Dûm in Angmar. Lagmâs can be found at Urugarth in Angmar. Sterkist is at the Spire of Meeting, in Rivendell. Your brother asked you to find some more difficult components and bring them to him. Sterkist: 'You return in victory! With this my friend can make you some truly useful equipment, and I hope you will use it to attain glory for our family!'
